Katie Abbott
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT)
I am Katie, and I am a qualified CBT therapist, and able to work with adults and young people. I began my career in mental health whilst studying Psychology as my undergraduate Honours degree. Following this I worked in a range of mental health settings with both adults, children and young people. Prior to qualifying as a CBT therapist, I have worked for the last 3 years specifically supporting children and young people who are experiencing life challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger difficulties and relationships.
My aim is always to create a space where an individual feels safe, heard, listened to and most of all empowered. I want all my clients to feel they can be themselves and use their therapy session to achieve their goals. I feel privileged to share such a vulnerable space with individuals, and aim to support you to feel brave to overcome life challenges.
